Users Appreciate Suggestions for Productivity Improvements
New customers who implement our Financials, Payroll and HR, and Procurement suites receive unlimited training and support during the implementation process. We do this because we believe it's important not to place any limitations on learning our system.
Initial training covers basic operations, such as navigating the system, and detailed tasks like setting up master files, processing transactions, running queries, accessing financial reports, and walking through the monthly close process.
We recognize that switching to a new accounting system can be a challenge. So, our support team works closely with new users to resolve any issues during the training process. That allows them to get completely comfortable using the system before going live. New customers truly appreciate the individualized attention they receive from our support team.
But what about the customers who've been with us for years – or in some cases, decades? What happens when an existing customer hires new employees who will use the system? Or when the company updates to the most current version of our software – how do their users learn about what's new? Well, we have training processes in place to respond to those situations, too.
This week, one of our support superheroes led sessions for new users of an existing customer. Real-time training was done online using the customer's test database. Sessions were broken out by application so users could attend only the areas relevant to their expertise. Topics included a deep dive into financial report design, how to void and/or copy an AP invoice, and three-way reconciliation using our bank book module.
Meanwhile, another support superhero was leading a different customer group through the new features of their software update. It included an overview of the AP approvals process as well as tips and tricks for improving productivity. As part of the discussion, the support superhero pointed out that a manual process the customer was using to import data from another system could easily be automated. "The manual process had been set up previously and no one ever questioned it. We really welcome the chance to walk through the updates of our software because we often find areas where productivity can be improved," the superhero said.
