Project Accounting – Track Revenues & Expenses for Capex, Fleets, Marketing and More
Project Accounting uses data flowing through your accounting system to track the financial progress of your projects. You can use it to actively monitor and control costs, analyze revenues and expenses related to special activities, capital projects, fleet maintenance, or any situation where you need to know the financial impact of activities on your organization.
Project Types
Our Project Accounting module lets you create an unlimited number of project types for any activity that you need to track. Common projects that our customers track include marketing campaigns, capital projects, and vehicle or facility maintenance.
You can break down projects by phase, task, or activity, and define those phases, tasks, and activities to reflect your needs. When you're ready to view a report, you can see it in summary or by whatever level of detail you require.
Track Actual, Budget, or Statistics
Our system tracks actual, budget, and statistical information for multiple budgets and statistical calculations. You can define the tracking period in various ways including:
- Current period this year, last year
- Quarter-to-date, year-to-date
- Project-to-date
- 1st month, 2nd month, and more
Another handy feature is the ability to generate a complete audit trail of all transactions. Need to track project-related, but non-financial, information? You can! Notes, scanned documents, spreadsheets, PDF and Word® documents all can be attached with just a few clicks. You can even create custom defined fields to capture project-specific information.
