Controller Chooses Software that Adapts to Existing Workflows
Researching accounting software options for the temporary staffing industry was an eye-opener, said Catherine Stuff, Controller for CHASE Professionals.
“Most of the financials packages we looked at appeared to be written by programmers who had never worked in accounting,” she said. “SBS had robust features that matched our daily accounting department workflow. It was definitely the most common sense accounting software we encountered.”
It’s been a few years since CHASE switched to SBS and “we’re still thrilled to have this software.” Stuff said. The accounting department is saving time in its daily work and is able to provide more reporting and analysis to senior managers.
CHASE started with SBS Financials and then added Expense Reporting. Recently, Requisitions was added to streamline the ordering and processing of requests across the company’s 23 locations in eight states.
Smooth Interface with Other Software
Switching to different accounting software can be tricky. Accuracy of the data conversion, proper set up of the chart of accounts, and ease of integration with business operations software all must be considered when making the change.
One of CHASE’s requirements was finding a system that would easily integrate with its staffing software. SBS fit the bill. “With SBS, importing data from our staffing software is easy and seamless. Our staff accountant’s favorite features are the A/P import and ease of reconciliations,” according to Stuff. “Easy is a word that keeps being used when describing SBS software.”
As Controller, Stuff has a favorite feature, too. “I smile every month at the ease of distributing the financial packages to 23 managers with one click of a button.” Stuff recommends that staffing agencies that want to switch accounting software take a look at SBS. “We are extremely pleased with the SBS software. We pat ourselves on the back for our great decision!”
